Marafan Hausawan Africa and Sarkin Yamman Arewa, Ambassador Hamza Shuaibu has called on Muslims across Nigeria and beyond to model their lives on the teachings and examples of Prophet Muhammad (SAW), saying the Prophet’s life offers guidance for public and personal conduct and as well social harmony.

Ambassador Hamza made the appeal at a well-attended Moulud procession commemorating the Prophet’s birthday in Makera ward of Kaduna South Local Government Area, Kaduna State. This was on Saturday the 29th of August, 2026.

The Marafan Hausawan Africa underscored core virtues of the Prophet which include: compassion, honesty, patience, humility, and service to humanity. He said these qualities are practical tools for addressing contemporary social challenges, particularly insecurities and economic hardship in Nigeria.

Ambassador Hamza said, “Prophet Muhammad (SAW) demonstrated how faith and action combine to transform individuals and societies. If Muslims emulate his commitment to justice, charity and respect for human dignity, we can make significant progress in strengthening families, communities… and good governance.”

Equally, he called on religious and community leaders in Makera to prioritize education, interfaith dialogue and youth mentorship, noting that investing in moral and civic education would help in checking extremism and social disintegration.

The annual Moulud procession in Makera draws people from all walks of life going around the streets of the town reciting Quran, singing praises for the Prophet and many more.
