    Asake took centre stage on the second day of Afro Nation Portugal, delivering a captivating headline performance that had thousands of fans singing along to some of his biggest hits.

    The YBNL star treated the crowd to an energetic set featuring fan favourites from across his catalogue, including chart-topping anthems like “Sungba” and “Lonely at the Top.” He also showcased songs from his recently released album, performing tracks such as “MCBH,” “Gratitude,” and “Forgiveness,” further cementing his status as one of Afrobeats’ biggest global stars.

    Asake was joined by a strong lineup of Nigerian stars who proudly represented the country’s thriving music scene. Olamide thrilled fans with a hit-filled performance featuring tracks like “Wo,” “Issa Goal,” and “Stupid Love,” while Wande Coal, Young Jonn, and Blaqbonez also delivered standout sets that kept the festival’s energy at an all-time high.

    Adding an international flavour to the night, Congolese music legend Awilo Longomba brought his signature Francophone energy to the festival, getting the crowd dancing with his infectious performance. American singer Mariah the Scientist also took to the stage, serenading fans with her soulful sound and emotional performances.

    Nigerian music superstar Burna Boy delivered an electrifying headline performance on Day 1 of Afro Nation Portugal, thrilling thousands of fans with a hit-filled set that showcased why he remains one of Africa’s biggest global stars.

    The Grammy-winning singer had the crowd singing along as he performed fan favorites including “Dem Dey,” “Dai Dai,” “Last Last,“ and “Anybody,“ bringing unmatched energy to the festival stage.

    Adding to the excitement, Burna Boy treated fans to a freestyle during his performance, rapping:

    “I buy Bugatti, dem ask which road I go drive am? No be today we dey do road like Julius Berger.”

    The freestyle quickly became one of the standout moments of the night, drawing loud cheers from the audience.

    South African Grammy-winning star Tyla also lit up the Afro Nation Portugal stage with a captivating performance that kept fans on their feet. The singer delivered crowd-pleasing renditions of some of her biggest hits, including “Dynamite,” “Chanel,” and the global smash “Water,” further cementing her status as one of Africa’s fastest-rising international stars.

    DAVIDO ANNOUNCES SIXTH STUDIO ALBUM ORIADÉ, DROPS ON JULY 31, 2026

    The album will feature 13 tracks, making it the shortest studio album of his career. His previous albums, Omo Baba Olowo (2012), A Good Time (2019), A Better Time (2020), Timeless (2023), and 5ive (2025), all contained 17 tracks. Over the years, Davido has delivered some of his biggest hits, including “Dami Duro,” “Fall,” “If,” “Risky”, “FEM,” “Jowo,” “Unavailable”, and “With You” featuring Omah Lay.

    Speaking about ORIADÉ in two different interviews, Davido said the album will be a return to the sound that made him famous. “The recent music I’ve been working on is really, really African. I’m taking it back to my original Davido kind of music,” he said. The album also marks back-to-back yearly releases for the singer, coming just one year after 5ive was released in 2025.

    Expectations are high after the success of 5ive, which produced “With You” featuring Omah Lay, one of the biggest Afrobeats songs of 2025. The album also earned Davido another Grammy Award nomination and was supported by a successful world tour. In Nigeria, he also held a special nationwide tour with shows across the country’s major regions, including the North, South, East, and West, giving fans from every part of the country a chance to experience the album live.
